JAQUES CHIRAZI
University of California San Diego, M.A., International Environmental Policy

Certified Biomimicry Professional

Jacques Edouard Chirazi, Certified Biomimicry Professional, has managed the California City of San Diego's Clean Technology Program since 2007. His focus is to create economic growth while fostering sustainability. With a passion for learning about the natural world and understanding how nature could transform the corporate environment, his long-term vision is to create new business models and financial instruments to accelerate the commercialization of biomimetic solutions. Jacques served six years as a Senior Project Manager at Bainbridge Inc., a strategic management consulting firm, which provides consulting services for Fortune 500 companies. He currently teaches sustainability courses and clean technology to business students at the University of California, San Diego and San Diego State University. He holds a Masters of Arts from UCSD Graduate School of International Relations & Pacific Studies in International Environmental Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from San Diego State University. Jacques is also a certified Energy Manager (C.E.M.), Renewable Energy Professional (R.E.P.) and LEED-GA., ​​​​​​

HEATHER HEINTZ

Heather Heintz is a buddhist chaplain and therapist in private practice who specializes in maternal mental health and bereavement. She is committed to helping folx navigate and transcend grief to be used as fuel for transformation. Her work focuses on the development of an integrated and liberated sense of self. She brings to her practice years of being a hospice spiritual counselor, a certification in perinatal mental health, and her own experience as a baby-lost parent to create an inclusive space of deep listening and understanding. ​​​

LIZABETH KASHINSKY
Naropa University, M.A., Ecopsychology

Environmental Conservation Specialist

Lizabeth Kashinsky is passionate about protecting Hawai'i's rare and endangered plants and animals and connecting people with nature. She began her career in conservation in 1995 when she was hired as a zoological intern at The Nature Conservancy of Hawai'i  while obtaining her B.A. in Zoology at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. In 1997 she began conducting research and recovery activities on the endangered Hawaiian monk seal and spent several months living and working in the remote Northwestern Hawaiian Islands, now Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument and a World Heritage Site. Inspired by her full immersion into nature and solitude while living and working there, she obtained a M.A.  in Ecopsychology at Naropa University in 2012. She is also a facilitator of Joanna Macy's The Work That Reconnects (WTR) and trained with Jonathan Gustin of the Purpose Guide. She also holds an Ecotherapy Certification with the Earthbody Institute. Lizabeth is a 500 RYT and conducts ecopsychology and yoga based classes, workshops, and retreats. She also serves on the board of Radical Joy For Hard Times, a 501c3 non-profit foundation dedicated to supporting habitat restoration and wildlife management programs at Holaniku (Kure Atoll) in Northwestern Hawaiian Archepelago, one of her favorite places on Earth. Lizabeth currently resides in Honolulu, but she yearns to return to her home on the windward side of O'ahu someday. ​​​​​​
